Welcome Back to School .
This is a friendly reminder of the changes in our school hours, as well as the procedure for the first day of school on September 8th.
Classes will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:50 p.m. . This is a slight change from last year as we will be dismissing 10 minutes earlier and we will be having two 40 minute balanced nutrition breaks. However, the school instructional day will still be 300 minutes long. First break will be from 10:10 – 10:50 a.m. with 20 minutes for eating and 20 minutes for recess. Second break will be from 12:30 – 1:10 p.m. This break will be used for students who walk home to eat lunch . Students staying at school will have 20 minutes for eating and 20 minutes for recess. Afternoon attendance will be taken at 1:10 p.m. for all students. Also, any lunch food days provided by our School Council will take place at this break time. The entry procedure for the first day of school is as follows for Sr. Kdgn to Grade 8 students. Upon arrival all students from Grades 1 to 8 should report to the school yard behind the school, where at 8:30 a.m., they will be met by teachers holding signs indicating where each grade level should meet. If it is raining, this procedure will be held in the gym for grades 1 – 8 students. Sr. Kdgn students will report to the Kdgn yard at the front of the school. However, if it is raining they are to report to the front hall of the school where they will be met by Kdgn staff and taken to their classrooms. Any new students who have not been registered are to report to the library.
Looking forward to a great 2015-16 school year. See you on Tuesday,
