Christmas in the Meadows is just 3 days away!! We've got some really fun things planned! For those that entered the gingerbread house decorating contest, gingerbread houses were sent home today.
Our Holiday Store is going to be awesome! Students will have the opportunity to purchase gifts for their family members, and we will wrap them! Gifts will range in cost from $1.00 to $5.00!
We're still looking for donations of cookies and candy canes. If you have some to donate, please leave them at the school office.
Please remember the entrance fee is a non perishable food item to be donated to the Orangeville Food Bank!

CHRISTMAS IN THE MEADOWS NEWS!!
We are looking for donations of nut free cookies for our Christmas in the Meadows night. If you have some donations, please bring them to the school.
Tomorrow is the deadline to register for the Gingerbread house decorating contest. Please sign and return the yellow permission slip that came home last week. Please note that Parent Council will provide the gingerbread houses, but we are asking parents to provide the icing and nut free candy for decorating. We will send home the houses early next week to allow time for students to decorate before Christmas in the Meadows.
Please note that we are running a Holiday Store during Christmas in the Meadows this year. All gifts are $5.00 or less, and will be gift wrapped to allow students to purchase Christmas gifts for family members.

Welcome Back to School .
This is a friendly reminder of the changes in our school hours, as well as the procedure for the first day of school on September 8th.
Classes will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:50 p.m. . This is a slight change from last year as we will be dismissing 10 minutes earlier and we will be having two 40 minute balanced nutrition breaks. However, the school instructional day will still be 300 minutes long. First break will be from 10:10 – 10:50 a.m. with 20 minutes for eating and 20 minutes for recess. Second break will be from 12:30 – 1:10 p.m. This break will be used for students who walk home to eat lunch . Students staying at school will have 20 minutes for eating and 20 minutes for recess. Afternoon attendance will be taken at 1:10 p.m. for all students. Also, any lunch food days provided by our School Council will take place at this break time. The entry procedure for the first day of school is as follows for Sr. Kdgn to Grade 8 students. Upon arrival all students from Grades 1 to 8 should report to the school yard behind the school, where at 8:30 a.m., they will be met by teachers holding signs indicating where each grade level should meet. If it is raining, this procedure will be held in the gym for grades 1 – 8 students. Sr. Kdgn students will report to the Kdgn yard at the front of the school. However, if it is raining they are to report to the front hall of the school where they will be met by Kdgn staff and taken to their classrooms. Any new students who have not been registered are to report to the library.
Looking forward to a great 2015-16 school year. See you on Tuesday,

We have made it to March. That must mean that spring is right around the corner right? Either way students will be moving and grooving at the Dance-a-thon this month (March 11). You should see the forms coming home this week.
The last block of food forms have gone out. Please submit by Wednesday March 4.
Also note: There is no pasta day this month.
I am sure this month will fly by with March Break in the middle (March 16-20).
If you would like to get involved in the council please let us know. Even if you can only volunteer for an hour, every bit helps.
Our council meeting is this week. *Tuesday March 3 at 7pm in the staff room.
One more thing. We are at 96 likes on our facebook page. Please let everyone know about CMES parent connection page. Lets see if we can get over 100 this week. :)
Have a great week everyone.

I hope everyone had a great first week back. The weather was not the greatest but lets hope that was the coldest one and it will get better from here. Just a quick note regarding food days. If the buses are cancelled the food days will still happen as planned. Since we do not have any buses into credit meadows it is only when the school is closed that the day is moved. Special circumstances around field trips are dealt with on an individual basis. If there are any questions or concerns please contact Nancy Turner our food day coordinator.
