FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN - Guest Speaker

MARCH SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING

SPECIAL GUEST—SARAH JANE OLSZEWSKI

TOPIC:  FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

Sarah will be talking about the focus of the FDK (rationale and some program/curriculum info). She will share some current best teaching practices that are happening and that are in line with the philosophy of the FDK program. She will have a slideshow presentation with some interactive bits, and then address any questions.

Sarah’s presentation will begin at 4:00 p.m. next Monday afternoon, March 4th, in the library.  Our meetings conclude at 5:15 p.m. each month.  Child care is provided.  If you are interested in coming and hearing her presentation and will need child care, please email Barb White at barbwhite.cmessc@hotmail.com  and let her know the names and ages of your children so that we can be well prepared for our child care needs.  All parents are welcome to attend!

Our regular meeting begins at 3:15 p.m. in the library and you are more than welcome to come at the beginning if you would be interested in being part of the whole meeting.

 

 

Announcements Week of February 19 - 22nd

First of all, let me apologize for not being as on top of the blog the past month or so.  There have been very few if any announcements that would pertain to parent interest so I have not been posting them.  Over the next couple of months there will be much more going on so you will hear from us more regularly.

Tuesday, February 26th will be GRAD PHOTO DAY.

3RD Annual BOOGIE-A-THON

will take place on Wednesday, March 6th.

Theme:  WESTERN!
REMINDER:  For every $5.00 you raise you earn a ticket for one of the AMAZING PRIZES!
PRIZES:  E-Reader, Digital Camera, Principal for the Day, Librarian for the Day, EB Gift Card ($25), Galaxy Movie Pass ($25), Ride in a Police Car,
Ice Cream Party, Pizza Party, Books, Sports Equipment (Boy & Girl), Posters.
Money is due by March 6th.  Keep bringing it into the office whenever you get some!
